Why I Love Sports Coaching

Locations:

Throughout my career as a sports coach, I have had the opportunity to witness the progress and growth of different athletes, share their victories and losses, and connect with other coaches and people from all walks of life. After all these years, my love for sports coaching continues to expand, and here are 3 reasons why.

1. Sports coaching can affect positive change.
Sports coaches bring much more to the role than just maximizing the standards of play. Being a sports coach gives me the influence and power to promote an active lifestyle and inclusion among youngsters and athletes.

2. Sports coaching can provide a positive sports experience.
I have become part of a lot of athletes’ success, where I effectively guided their development and made every step of their journey endurable — from discovering their potential, designing tailored training programs, and helping them improve their sporting performance.

3. I share a passion for their sports.
This shared passion for sports has brought and still continues to bring inspiration to aspiring and young athletes, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.

The most important thing for me as a sports coach is that I do not seek a position that grants me power and authority over others or do it for personal recognition or status. It has always been about the fulfillment of making a difference in other people’s lives.
