1. Stay calm and always remember that it is better to arrive late than not at all.
Sometimes delays are blessings in disguise. Be grateful that it was just a delayed flight and you’re not involved in any accidents.
2. Don’t lash out at the airline crew.
Please do not take your frustrations out on the airline crew as this is beyond their control. Be firm, but polite. Don’t make it an unpleasant experience for everyone.
3. Know your rights.
Discuss your options with the airline such as booking another flight, asking for reimbursements, and other compensations.
4. Indulge in the airport’s lounges.
See the beauty in every delay. Enjoy the airport’s perks and if there’s enough time, try to roam around outside the airport and visit nearby tourist attractions or must-eat restaurants.
5. Plan out your next trip carefully to prepare for travel inconveniences.
Either you fly a day early, add a buffer time to your flights, or even avail of travel insurance with adequate coverage.
Always remember to accept what can’t be changed. Remain calm and friendly so you can make rational decisions, and not be clouded by anger.
